ATRAUMATIC EXTRACTIONS AND SOCKET GRAFTING MASTERCLASS

Saturday, May 23, 2026  8:30am – 5:00pm
Richmond Hill, ON

Course Overview:

This intensive, game changing, one of a kind single day course is designed to elevate the clinician’s surgical confidence in socket grafting in both the posterior and anterior zones.

This masterclass in site development will provide you with an in-depth understanding of socket healing biology and the essential science behind socket preservation. You’ll discover why grafting at the time of extraction is crucial for maintaining ridge volume and esthetics.

This program will teach you how to extract any tooth in a simple and predictable manner using minimal instrumentation. Focus will be given on the basic principles of exodontia as well as more modern atraumatic techniques for removal of teeth. Simplified and streamlined instrumentation will be shown to allow you to extract teeth with ease and confidence.

The morning session focuses on the "Foundation of the Posterior," covering the mechanics of atraumatic extractions and predictable socket grafting to overcome common challenges like buccal wall defects.  Hands on exercises will allow you to implement the theory and complete a socket graft with a dense PTFE membrane.

The afternoon shifts to the "Art of the Anterior," where the focus transitions to high-stakes esthetic preservation. Participants will learn specialized techniques to maintain the interproximal papillae and manage complex scenarios, including large apical lesions and significant buccal plate loss, and temporization techniques.  The afternoon session will end with a hands on exercise that will mimic an anterior extraction site and grafting procedure using a pedicle connective tissue graft from the palate to seal the socket.

By blending biological principles with advanced regenerative materialsand minimally invasive techniques, this course provides a comprehensive roadmapfor preserving bone and soft tissue volume for future implant or restorativesuccess.

Learning Objectives:

Morning Session: Posterior Predictability & Bone Volume

Afternoon Session: The Anterior Esthetic Zone

Key Takeaway

By the end of this course, clinicians will be able to transition from "taking teeth out" to "engineering the site," ensuring that every extraction serves as a proactive step toward a functional and aesthetically perfect long-term result.
